Time Zone Picker
The Time Zone Picker is used to select the time zone for a station. The charts can then show the "local civil" time on their axis.
The screen capture below shows that this window is rather simple. However, there are a couple of items that aren't apparent - which may make selecting a time zone less frustrating.
#1 This is a label showing the currently selected time zone and related information. It is copied from the windows operating system.
#2 This information shows us the selected time zone is currently under daylight savings time. The information is derived from the information in #1 above together with your computers current system date.

#3 The Time Zone Picker "fills" the drop-down list from the windows operating system. We have no control over what is included in the list of time zones.
#4 The "active bias" tells us the offset, or difference, between the selected time zone and UTC/GMT. The information is derived from the information in #1 above together with your computers current system date.
Now, for a time saving tip on using the time zone picker - use your keyboard "cursor" up and down keys to scroll through the list of available time zones. As you scroll through the time zones, watch the #1, #2 and #4 information change and update to show details for the time zone names listed by #3.
